Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor | Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor
Rebecca Liebermann is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. She earned her first master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Lewis University in 2015 and continued to expand her education by completing a second master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School in 2026.
Rebecca has worked in the mental health field since 2015, beginning her career at Indian Oaks Academy, a residential treatment center serving youth with behavioral and mental health needs. She has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, self-harm, behavioral challenges, and crisis-related concerns.
Her clinical interests also include substance use disorders and the complex relationship between mental health, behavior, trauma, and recovery. Committed to continued professional growth, Rebecca has pursued ongoing education in substance use disorders, trauma, and forensic psychology. Her multidisciplinary educational background supports a broader understanding of the factors that influence behavior, emotional well-being, and recovery.
Rebecca draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), psychoeducation, solution-focused therapy, and art therapy. As an EMDR-trained clinician, she incorporates her trauma-focused training into her commitment to helping clients process difficult experiences and develop healthier coping strategies. Rebecca believes that effective counseling begins with understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, needs, and goals. She works collaboratively with clients to build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change.
At Crossroads Counseling Services, Rebecca strives to provide a supportive, compassionate, and individualized therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward. She welcomes the opportunity to help individuals recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and work toward a healthier future.
