Alexandra King, also known as Lexie, is a student at Marquette University. She is working towards completing her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in children and adolescents. Lexie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, where she completed an internship at the Emergency Mental Health Clinic in Jefferson County. Post graduation, Lexie also worked with children and adolescents to provide mental health services in Wisconsin.
Lexie’s areas of clinical interest include mood and anxiety disorders, family changes, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ acceptance, low self-esteem, identity development, relationship navigation, and much more. Lexie primarily works with children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2 – 25) as well as families.
Lexie’s therapeutic approaches include motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Lexie uses empirical evidence and data to find the best treatment options and create custom treatment plans for each clients unique goals.
