Mary Karalis, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  She has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.    Mary has experience providing individual and group therapy for individuals with bi-polar illness, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and substance abuse/dependence. 

Mary has years of experience providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a specialized individual and group therapy treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder.  Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a skill building and processing therapy which addresses self-injury, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, and ineffective interpersonal relationships for adults and adolescents.  

Mary has a special interest in working with adolescents, adults, and couples/families who are struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, panic  disorders, trauma, grief, divorce, co-dependency,  marital or family conflict, parenting, Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD, self-injury, adult children of alcoholics, and with those struggling with their faith in God in the midst of loss and hardships.  

Mary holds a Master of Art degree in Professional Counseling from Olivet Nazarene University and an Addictions Counseling Certificate from College of DuPage.  Mary is married and has 2 adult children.

Mary joined Crossroads Counseling Services, LLC, in October, 2012.
